The theme for this first TEDxAbbotsford is Trailblazing. The event, licensed by TED, will focus on Abbotsford’s past and future development. Both local talent and TED videos will lead to a powerful evening designed inspire minds and spark positive action.
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading ideas. The initials stand for “Technology, Entertainment, Design” but the conferences focus on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics. TED Talks are usually short, powerful, and creatively presented stories designed to instill excitement and inspiration. TEDx conferences are independent TED-like events, licensed by TED.

Microsoft Program Manager Megha Tiwari has a passion for translating customer needs into product capabilities. She loves to use design to communicate an idea. Megha’s journey began in India where she completed her initial education and her dream of studying Aerospace Engineering took her to Purdue University, USA.
Travis Klassen entered his family’s third generation, fifty-year-old business at the age of thirteen and worked all the way up to become CEO at the age of thirty. Under his leadership his family was recognized as the Family Enterprise of the Year Achievement award winner by the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise
Scott Mallory is a multimedia artist whose work explores quantum physics and perception. He participates in research for Leaning Out of Windows, a project designing models of “hybrid research” between artists and physicists at TRIUMF, Canada’s national particle physics lab, towards understanding the nature of reality.
Dave Dinesen founded his first company, BackCheck, in 1997 and took it from startup to the largest background screening company in Canada and a leader in the UK. Since late 2015, Dave has been working with Bevo Farms Ltd. to put the CubicFarm Systems team and business strategy in place. In mid-2016, Dave agreed to serve as CubicFarm Systems Corp’s first CEO.
Danielle Arsenault, founder of Pachavega Living Foods Education, uses fresh, gourmet, raw foods as a way to entertain, educate, and inspire. She offers Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching, Private Catering and is the creator of the 70-hour *Heal and Ignite* Raw Food Chef Certification Course.
